Welcome to Springdale Mill on the Web. The Springdale Mill site is located in the Jefferson section of Holden Massachusetts. When finished, this complex of foundations from the old mill and mill village will be accessible by walking trail, with interpretive signs explaining what the mill was like while in operation from 1865 to 1905. The history will include the Springdale area, the Mass Central Railroad and the building of the Wachusett Reservoir and Aqueduct. This project is brought to you through the Public-Private partnership of the Department of Conservation and Recreation and Wachusett Greenways, and the generosity of individual, business, and foundation donors.
